In June 2025, two people entered Royal Air Force (RAF) Brize Norton and sprayed two Voyager planes with red paint, drawing attention to their direct involvement in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
On the basis of an alleged connection to the action at RAF Brize Norton, five people were arrested by counter-terrorism police and are currently being held without trial in British prisons. They are the Brize Norton 6: Amu Gib, Dan Jeronymides-Norie, Jon Cink, Lewie C, Umer Khalid and Lara Downes. Their trial date is set in January 2027.

RAF Brize Norton, the largest military air base in the Britain, is a central part of the UK’s participation in the genocide in Palestine, as well as attacks on Iran and Yemen. One of the planes targeted in this action was directly involved in a bombing in Yemen, on behalf of Israel, in February of 2024.
RAF Brize Norton:
– facilitates surveillance missions over Gaza
– provides the Israeli army with intelligence
– allows the refuelling of Israeli fighter jets
– supports transportation of weapons to Israel
– grants access to the airbase to the Israeli military

This is the first time activists have been charged under the National Security Act 2023, with a terror link. This has been used as a deliberate tactic to inflate the charges.

Four of the Brize Norton 6 participated in the open ended hunger strike which took place from November 2025 to January 2026. During the hunger strike, the prisoners experienced a serious lack of medical care, which has led to ongoing, long-term health complications. All of the Brize Norton 6 have faced multiple acts of repression and mistreatment, beyond their imprisonment alone. Ranging from isolation, restricted visits and mail, medical abuse, negligence, discrimination and acts of Islamophopia, and ongoing harrassment from prison staff.
We demand the immediate release and freedom of the Brize Norton 6!
